Buckets of Rain and Playing Tag

It's been raining buckets, and we've had thunder, which is unusual for this area.  Scares the crap out of the squirrels, too!  Hand feeding them has been traumatic.

Spooky had been back and forth all day, putting his muddy paws and mud-caked nose all over my pants.  Later in the afternoon, Preggers came around, but soon, we had Preggers, Norman, Spooky and Scamp on the porch.  So... Norman chases Preggers, who in turn chases Spooky who chases Scamp.  There were squirrels jumping off our sliding glass doors, and a few times, we had 3 squirrels chasing eachother in circles.

Spooky was so agitated he yelled at me because I wasn't feeding him fast enough to escape chase from Preggers.  She would stand behind him and rattle her teeth.  Then a couple of times, Norman would guard the door and posture at any and all squirrel-comers.  Preggers would do the same if Norman wasn't around.

It must be the weather.

Rainy Days

A storm has been coming through the San Francisco area, but it's been really strange.  It will rain cats and dogs, then be sunny.  Then we'll have another downpour followed by sun.  All of this accompanied by lots of wind.

I'm not sure what the rest of the week will bring in terms of weather, but the squirrels sure have been anxious about food.
